Muthafreakin' madhouse
I just finished a 3.8km run that lasted about 0hh:25mm:53ss !
Got myself out for a good old fashioned run yesterday... it was an incredible day, pretty much perfect for running. I hadn't run for 2 weeks, and it wasn't as rough as I thought it would be, especially since I had gotten a whole year older than I was the day before. Everything has just exploded spring-wise... all these fields are crazy green and our forest has gotten way more forestier and blossumier... it's all just so pretty.
Had a job interview yesterday. This job is super different to anything I've ever done before.
I had had a video interview while I was in Milwaukee, which I hadn't thought had gone well at all... but it lead to a panel interview, so something must have gone okayish... this panel interview wasn't what I was expecting at all. I had been expecting an hour long session of being asked to relate scenarios where I had shown leadership or innovation or had to resolve issues, etc... instead it was either super general questions about IT or really specific technical questions about systems I hadn't seen before... so I'm honestly not sure how it went at all.
This current role I'm in is the first time I've ever been a consultant... in Australia I was only an employee twice and then had my own IT company. I found out last week that my consulting company is charging me out at 3 times what they pay me. I know there is admin costs, etc... but man, I can't help but feel a little miffed at that.
In Australia almost all my interviews were a quick coffee with the project manager, or a proper interview where we were talking about footy for 90% of it... so it was all a new and exciting experience for me.
I'm super pumped to get back into all my fitnessing... after Easter's chocolate and hot-cross buns, and being away for 2 weeks I am dead set deadly ready! Especially since some of my friends are starting to talk about joining the American Ninja Warrior walk-on lines. Exciting times!

Thinking back about it... I know I definitely answered some of the questions that weren't correct... but I might have got to the eventual correct answer in the end... I'm super curious to see what happens.
