Turning to the future...

I've for too long, made decisions on the past. Now, I'm turning to the future...

Now my brain this morning: Do we even have a choice? All decisions currently made are a culmination of past experiences and each one of those are an inclusion and effected by something prior. Going back far enough, was the first thought a free thought? Free will is such a lovely idea.
