What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.

I visited the ASBL brick kiln yesterday. This kiln is located in Dangirpara village, Kutubpur union, Badarganj upazila, Rangpur district, Bangladesh. There are several popular brick kilns in our North Bengal, one of which is this one. The owner of this brick kiln is Bakul Shah, the former chairman of Qutubpur Union Parishad. He built this brick kiln about fifteen years ago.The main purpose of building this brick kiln is to create employment for the people of the area and distribute bricks in the area for a small amount of money. In addition, the broken roads of the locals are repaired with bricks.Qutubpur Union is a poverty union in Bangladesh.

Before the construction of the kiln, the people of this area were very poor. But after the construction of the kiln in this area, employment has been created for many poor people of the area. For this, every person in the area expressed his gratitude to Chairman Bakul Shah. This brick kiln has been recognized as a golden workplace by the people of the area. I hope that this brick kiln will go much further in the future. And especially because of this brick kiln, many people are getting the opportunity to buy bricks at a very low cost and build houses. This is really a very good thing for them. Besides, the owner of this kiln spends most of what he earns from this kiln on the people.

Operational history & Location (Steem Atlas pin)

This brick kiln was built about fifteen years ago. Bakul Shah built this brick kiln with the advice of the people of his constituency. At that time, he was the current chairman of the Qutubpur Union Parishad. Besides, he is the owner of several large and large enterprises.Later, he built this kiln. When this kiln was built, it was built with a very small area. Later, the area was gradually increased. So now many people can work in this kiln during the kiln.Especially in Dangirpara village of Kutubpur Union, many poor people are working continuously in this low tide. By doing this, their families are moving forward a little.

Our cities, villages, and dream homes are built within the smoke and fire of brick kilns. Behind the making of those bricks is the story of a vast working class, whose lives often remain hidden from our eyes. Brick kilns like ASBL Brick are not just places of production, but also the real stage of the struggle of thousands of workers.Brick kiln work is mainly physical labor. Workers get to work before dawn. Some are cutting soil, some are soaking it and making a mixture, while others are pouring the soil into a structure and shaping the bricks. Rows of bricks are arranged in the sun to dry, then they are fired in the kiln at high temperatures. Each step requires patience, skill, and endless hard work.

The lives of these workers are not easy. Most of the workers come from villages, who live temporarily with their families around the kilns for seasonal work. Their homes are usually small huts covered with tin or polythene, where the lack of necessary amenities is obvious. Lack of clean water, sanitation problems, and limited healthcare are their daily reality. The situation is not very good for children either. Many times they do not get the opportunity to go to school, but instead are forced to work from an early age to help support their families. As a result, their childhood and right to education are greatly at risk.

Environmental impact & (With pictures + videos)

The smoke emitted from the fuel used in the kiln during brick making is one of the main causes of air pollution. Burning coal, wood or tires releases carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and harmful fine particles into the air. This not only has a negative impact on the environment but also on human health. It can cause breathing problems, eye irritation, and even lung disease in the long term. Its impact on the soil is also no less. Fertile topsoil or surface soil is removed for brick making, which reduces the productive capacity of agricultural land. As a result, the land gradually becomes barren and agricultural production decreases. This can have a long-term negative impact on the rural economy.

Especially in the agricultural sector, brick kilns are creating a very dangerous situation for us. The smoke emitted from brick kilns has a great impact especially on rice fields. In those areas where there are brick kilns, the crop yield is not that good. You may all be aware of this.So we should all build brick kilns in such an environment where no crops are grown. Then it will be possible to cultivate very good crops in our country. On the other hand, brick kilns will also run well.
