EC2 BlockChain Reference Points
During my initial research into crypto I found several points of reference which I still refer to today :
Websites
Wish I had found this one much earlier would have saved me loads of time getting my head around how blockchain works, does a really good job of explaining it and has an overview of the story so far.
Latest prices , Marketcap ,price graphs links to websites and more really useful site to lookup and start researching
Good for reference however following the discovery of the Let's Talk Bitcoin podcast (see below) I dont use it as much however had to mention it as it led me to my first ICO investment (and only to date)
I made this investment with my eyes open and prepared to lose all of it. Having bought a around $0.07 in June its currently trading at $0.55. Check out:

Wagerr are using Waves as its initial exchange platform so in turn I discovered it , below are some links that have covered Waves, what I like about it is the fact I can exchange crypto at very low fees.

PodCasts
The Let's Talk Bitcoin Network
Love this as it curates several podcasts into one stream which includes:
Epicentre
Bitcoins & Gravy
Lets Talk Bitcoin
The Crypto Show
The ICO Alert Podcast

Mentioned the sight above its a good insight into what is coming to market and if you did want to invest a good research tool to help make better informed decisions
MeetUps
Am lucky that I work In London so there is always a lot going on , I use the meetup app as well as eventbrite to find events. Meetup groups I am a member of :
London Cryptocurrency & BlockChain Beginners
https://www.meetup.com/London-Cryptocurrency-and-Blockchain-Beginners/events/past/
Been to quite a few of these and although as the title suggests its aimed at the beginner they have had some sessions that have extended beyond just basic level understanding. The first couple I went to did cover the basics but they have also had a lot guest speakers and link ups with other groups
Initial sessions reinforced what I had already learned , where they have had guest speakers along its been an opportunity to learn more about what blochain can do and weed out some of the more promising and genuine startups. As well as that they have paved the way to to other meetups including the EOS

On the 6th September attended this one , the most interesting presentation was Sweetbridge which I am intending to buy into when the ICO starts shortly moree info below

This steemit is a good one

EOS https://eos.io/resources/
was one of these, parking its use use case and viability the session in London provided an insight into to the team including
Dan Larimer

Brendan Blumer
Despite it being clear that even a short term investment was worth it was $.050 at the time , I did not make it until it was $3
its now trading at around the $9 mark
Will write up the next meet up with more detail and add some photos
