Would you travel 10,000 years into the future?

A local business opens up that offers the option to transport yourself 10,000 years into the future. A stable connection ensures some form of civilization on the other end to make the connection. The procedure has been confirmed as %100 safe, but you can never come back to this time period. The trip is free, and you will likely be remembered long into the future as one of the ones who traveled in time. You can only bring people who will willingly take the trip with you though. Anyone not willing to make the trip will be forever lost in time for you. The gap will always be exactly 10,000 years, so if they agree to join you later they will still pop up in that time.

At the moment I think I'd take the trip. If I had a family then it'd be contingent on all of them wanting to go. I wouldn't put kids through that mind you. Perhaps a retirement option if nothing else.
