DO NOT ALLOW STRIFE OR BITTERNESS
25 THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO SCHISM [infighting or disharmony] IN THE BODY, BUT THAT THE MEMBERS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; OR IF ONE MEMBER IS HONOURED, ALL THE MEMBERS REJOICE WITH IT."
1 Corinthians 12:25,26 (NKJV)
Strife or bitterness in a believer's life would limit his or her potentiality.
• You should not envy anyone, but wish other people well (1 Corinthians 3:3).
• Do not stand to hinder or obstruct someone else's progress. If anyone is aspiring or striving to move up or go higher in his or her endeavour, do not stop the person or stand on his or her way.
• Those who allow bitterness and strife to take better part of their lives are usually not get to the top in life—in all their endeavours and aspirations (Philippians 1:15).
• They usually do not get to the level of the person they are envious of, or embittered with, or having strife with.
God would not bless or promote an embittered soul or person. Thus, be happy with other people's success.
It is in rejoicing with others that your own blessing will come (1 Corinthians 12:26).
A good thing in another person's life should make you happy and rejoice—celebrate with the person(s): "REJOICE WITH THOSE WHO REJOICE, AND WEEP WITH THOSE WHO WEEP" (Romans 12:15 NKJV).
Whatever you can do to help whoever is striving to move to another level, or trying to get to the top, you should go ahead and do it.
If however you had nothing to contribute, let the person be, and allow him or her to strive to achieve his or her goal. And whoever wants to help them you should not dissuade or discourage or talk out of it!
The sky is big enough for the birds to fly and dive without collision. The greatness or increase of another person, a fellow believer, does not stop your own greatness—life is about live and let live.
One thing you should know, no one else can be like you. What God has given to you is unique and cannot be duplicated with another person's. This is the reason why the finger prints are not the same.
There is a unique Grace that is given to you by God which is peculiar to you. This is the reason why you should not be disturbed about whatever any other person is doing—the greatness or achievement of other people. Besides, God is not partial nor is He a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11). Whatever He did for one person would be done for another person If he or she equally did the right thing that ought to be done to get the thing done for them.
You should strive not to envy anyone but find your uniqueness or divine area of calling or operation that is given to you by God: "LET EACH ONE REMAIN IN THE SAME CALLING IN WHICH HE WAS CALLED" (1 Corinthians 7:20 NKJV).
When this is known or settled and you faced it squarely, wanting to get it established, you would eventually see your results commanding the attention of others—friends or foes:
14 DO NOT NEGLECT THE GIFT THAT IS IN YOU . . . . 15 MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS; GIVE YOURSELF ENTIRELY TO THEM, THAT YOUR PROGRESS MAY BE EVIDENT TO ALL" (1 Timothy 4:14,15 NKJV).
Peace.
