GOD: A WONDERFUL TEACHER 2
23 Listen to me; listen, and pay close attention.
24 Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting?
25 Does he not finally plant his seeds—black cumin, cumin, wheat, barley, and emmer wheat—each in its proper way, and each in its proper place?
26 THE FARMER KNOWS JUST WHAT TO DO, FOR GOD HAS GIVEN HIM UNDERSTANDING.
27 A heavy sledge is never used to thresh black cumin; rather, it is beaten with a light stick. A threshing wheel is never rolled on cumin; instead, it is beaten lightly with a flail.
28 Grain for bread is easily crushed,
so he doesn’t keep on pounding it. He threshes it under the wheels of a cart, but he doesn’t pulverize it.
29 THE LORD OF HEAVEN'S ARMIES IS A WONDERFUL TEACHER, AND HE GIVES THE FARMER GREAT WISDOM."
Isaiah 28:23-29 (NLT)
• The Bible, the Word of God, is the standard for every believer through which whatever you believe you are taught inwardly should be judged.
- You do not come up with something that is contrary to the Bible and said you had been taught or led by the Holy Spirit on the inside of you—when what you claimed that you received is not in line with the Bible.
- The inward witness or intuition which is given by the Holy Spirit through human spirit is the commonest way by which God speaks to every believer. Such messages come as a thought in the mind of a believer.
- Now, How would a believer differentiate between the message from the Holy Spirit and the one from the human nature—the natural mind?
a. The message that comes from the Holy Spirit via the human spirit would not be a premeditated one, but intuitive.
b. It would not be from reasoning or observation, that is, It would not be based on the principles of logic.
c. It would be in line with the Bible, the Word of God.
• What is being described here would be less difficult for someone who has subdued the flesh and not being ruled or governed or dominated by the soul [mind]—the human nature (Romans 12:1,2).
- That describes someone who has always been acknowledging the Holy Spirit in whatever he or she wanted to do—being discerning and sensitive to Him.
- Such a thing is made possible when a believer prays more in the language of the Spirit (Jude 20), and fills or preoccupies his or her mind with the Word of God, the Bible (1 Corinthians 14:2).
- The praying in the Spirit would energize or charge or build up his or her recreated human spirit (Jude 20), whilst the knowledge of the Word of God would renew or prepare or make ready his or her mind to receive whatever is being sent or communicated by the Holy Spirit—via the recreated human spirit.
- What is being taught here would be a normal course of events as the believer goes about their daily activities with the consciousness of having the Holy Spirit as their companion—acknowledging His presence and being sensitive to His leadings.
• A believer should programme his or her heart to receive from God, because He loves and wants to communicate or speak to His children who desire to know and hear from Him.
- A believer who would be led should be someone who is also expectant and live his or her daily life with that consciousness.
- As a believer progresses in his or her walk with God, he or she would discover the unique ways or patterns through which God relates with them.
- You would get to understand His language and the specific ways through which God communicates with you as a person.
- What God tells you, or what He set as a standard for you, might not be the same with another person—another believer. God relates with His children individually, not collectively.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any sickness in your body, I declare your healing now in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is not planted by God in your life, such is uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
