THE PURPOSE OF CORRECTION 1
7 THEN AT LAST THE PEOPLE WILL LOOK TO THEIR CREATOR AND TURN THEIR EYES TO THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.
8 THEY WILL NO LONGER LOOK TO THEIR IDOLS FOR HELP OR WORSHIP WHAT THEIR OWN HANDS HAVE MADE. THEY WILL NEVER AGAIN BOW DOWN TO THEIR ASHERAH POLES OR WORSHIP AT THE PAGAN SHRINES THEY HAVE BUILT."
Isaiah 17:7,8 (NLT)
The essence of God's correction is repentance. If you go astray from the truth, God might allow problems or challenges that would bring you back on the right track
(Isaiah 17:8).
God would permit unforgettable experiences to teach His erring child (Jonah 1:1-4,15,17).
If you did anything wrong and you are not corrected on it by God, It means danger is ahead. Correction is a sign of love in God's Kingdom:
5 AND YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THE EXHORTATION WHICH SPEAKS TO YOU AS TO SONS: “MY SON, DO NOT DESPISE THE CHASTENING OF THE LORD, NOR BE DISCOURAGED WHEN YOU ARE REBUKED BY HIM; 6 FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE CHASTENS, AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.” 7 IF YOU ENDURE CHASTENING, GOD DEALS WITH YOU AS WITH SONS; FOR WHAT SON IS THERE WHOM A FATHER DOES NOT CHASTEN? 8 BUT IF YOU ARE WITHOUT CHASTENING [Discipline], OF WHICH ALL HAVE BECOME PARTAKERS, THEN YOU ARE ILLEGITIMATE AND NOT SONS" (Hebrews 12:5-8 NKJV).
God would not come down with a rod or cane to flog a disobedient child of His, but the problems or challenges which He permitted in the life of such would serve as the chastisement or discipline.
God does chastise or discipline those whom He loves. If you claimed to be born-again and you are living in sin, either secretly or blatantly, yet things are going on smoothly for you, know that danger is ahead.
As a believer who is walking intimately with God, one of the signs that God is calling your attention, or you have missed it your walk with Him, is the challenges or problems that would start coming up in your life—when things are not well.
Most of the discomforts which the believers experience are meant to call or get their attention by God, and that to something He wanted them to do or correct.
However, a good number of believers do not always understand the message God is passing across at such a time, because they inclined more to the natural side of life—they are not discerning enough.
Thus, when things are not well, and you are a believer in Christ Jesus who is walking with Him; then you need to check yourself, God probably is calling your attention to something.
Another reason for discomforts, challenges, or problems is, when God intended to change your level—when He wanted to move you up in whatever you are doing.
He always would move you out of your comfort, disrupt your comfort or calmness, to move you up to a higher level.
Thus, nothing happens in a believer's life, who is walking intimately with God, without a reason. Every event or happening is significant and has a meaning—it contains a message.
God speaks mostly nonverbally. He uses events, happenings, in the lives of those who are loyal to Him to communicate or pass a message across to them.
If this was told or shared with some people, they would call it superstition. While some would say, you are spiritualizing every event of life, things that are natural, and that should not be.
God would bring you back to Himself If you are going astray. And the major way through which He does that is by standing on your way. He would stand to be an adversary on your way. He would stand to resist you in all you wanted to do If pride—rebellion or unfaithfulness—is found in your life (Numbers 22:22-25,32-34).
Disobedience is tantamount to pride or rebellion, and God resists the proud while He gives Grace to the humble (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5).
The humble is the person who embraces God's will or plan for his or her life. And He guides and leads the humble or the meek. He teaches such a believer the way to go and how to make profit in life (Psalm 25:9; Isaiah 48:17).
Every sign of rebellion would attract punishment from God, except you are not His legitimate child (Hebrews 12:8).
Also, any element of pride found in the life of a believer, legitimate child of His, would attract sanction or penalization.
There is no way a true child of God would continue in sin without being chastised or penalized.
If you put your hand in sin and become entrenched in it, and everything is going on well, It means you have been separated for destruction.
I discovered that Christian living might seem difficult for someone who wanted to indulge his or her flesh or be controlled by it; however, living right is the most rewarding life.
You can only live to please God by walking in the Spirit. And walking in the Spirit means being sensitive, guided and led by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-18). Walking in the spirit also means when you allow your recreated human spirit to dominate or be in control of your mind, your soul, and your body.
Any number of believers are under God's discipline but they do not know, because they are not spiritually inclined or sensitive enough.
You will not die in prematurely in Jesus' name.
If you are sick in your body, I declare your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
That hold of sickness and infirmity are broken in Jesus' name.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
