WICKED PLOTS AGAINST BELIEVERS
"AND IT WILL COME TO PASS AT THE SAME TIME, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," says the LORD God, "THAT MY FURY WILL SHOW IN MY FACE."
Ezekiel 38:18 (NKJV)
The devil may raise people to stand against you in whatever you are assigned to do, albeit, do not be afraid of those who may do that—those who gang up against you.
If your relationship with God is intact, you need not be afraid of those who may come against you. Those who are raised by the devil, who thought you are defenseless, would have a dirge to sing; If they ventured to waylay or corner you.
God did promise to deal with Gog at the land of Magog if he invaded Israel: "BUT THIS IS WHAT THE SOVEREIGN LORD SAYS: WHEN GOG INVADES THE LAND OF ISRAEL, MY FURY WILL BOIL OVER" (Ezekiel 38:18 NLT).
Likewise if the devil and those who are loyal to him made an attempt to attack or afflict a believer, God's fury will boil.
You may not need to fight, but allowed God to fight your battles (Romans 12:19).
Let God defend you! (Luke 18:7,8)
Many believers are fighting with the enemy, when their own relationship and fellowship with God are not right or intact!
Take note:
Disobedience, pride, high mindedness, and being stiff-necked could make you a prey or victim in the hand of the enemy. The devil, who is the archenemy of the believers, thrives where disobedience and rebellion is thriving or flourishing.
When you failed to cooperate with God by obeying His Word, that is, walked in the light of His Word; you may have problem in overcoming or prevailing over the enemy—the devil.
Believers cannot withstand, stand up to the devil and his agents, If God is not on our side. Thus, If a believer would walk in obedience to God's Word, overwhelming victory would be his through Christ who loves us.
31 WHAT THEN SHALL WE SAY TO THESE THINGS? IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?
33 WHO SHALL BRING A CHARGE AGAINST GOD'S ELECT? IT IS GOD WHO JUSTIFIES.
37 YET IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US."

Those who think you are defenseless and devised a wicked plan against you would have God to contend with.
God will turn their plans to foolishness: " . . . FOR THE LORD HAD APPOINTED TO DEFEAT THE GOOD COUNSEL OF AHITHOPHEL, TO THE INTENT THAT THE LORD MIGHT BRING EVIL UPON ABSALOM" (2 Samuel 17:14 NKJV).

What a believer, most importantly, should not lose is God's presence with him or her. You should treasure your relationship and fellowship with God diligently!
It amazes me when I see those who claimed to be believers but do not value their relationship and fellowship with God.
It is obvious that a believer who lives in blatant sin does not value his or her relationship and fellowship with God.
You cannot be indulging in sin and still expect to have a good relationship and communion or fellowship with God: "WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND?" (Romans 6:1 NKJV).
You give a place to the devil when you made the choice to grant the desires of the flesh, that is, live in sin: "NOR GIVE PLACE [an opportunity] TO THE DEVIL" (Ephesians 4:27).
The world has become the habitations of cruelty [Psalm 74:20], believers however are the light of the world, without our presence in the world, it definitely would be full of darkness and the whole thing would be in mess and disarrayed: "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY THAT IS SET ON A HILL CANNOT BE HIDDEN" (Matthew 5:14).
The world would have been the survival of the fittest, if believers were not to be in the world, and if God were not to be with us. If God be for us who can be against us, however, If God be not for us, believers in Christ Jesus, anything and all things would be against us—believers.
What would make God be for you is your obedience to His Word (John 15:14). If I may ask; How obedient are you in the instructions given to you by God?
Remember, every disobedience widens whatever gap that may have been existing between you and God.
You also should always know that God is the reason why things are working out well for you, not your cleverness or smartness!
The devil might give the thoughts to harm you to some people:
10 "THIS IS WHAT THE SOVEREIGN LORD SAYS: AT THE TIME EVIL THOUGHTS WILL COME TO YOUR [Gog's] MIND, AND YOU WILL DEVISE A WICKED SCHEME. 11 YOU WILL SAY, 'ISRAEL IS AN UNPROTECTED LAND FILLED WITH UNWALLED VILLAGES!
I WILL MARCH AGAINST HER AND DESTROY THESE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN SUCH CONFIDENCE!" (Ezekiel 38:10,11 NLT)
A counsel like the one in the above passage would not stand in your life if you had a working relationship and fellowship with God.
This is why you have to follow God's leading in whatever friendship and relationship you cultivated with anyone, a believer or non-believer alike.
God knows the intent of every heart. Thus, If God has put a 'full stop' to a relationship you cultivated, do not put a 'comma', let the relationship end where God wants it to end: "BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT, BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR" (1 Peter 5:8 NKJV).
The devil gives evil thoughts to the people who are loyal to him, about the believers he wanted to attack or devour: "IN WHICH YOU ONCE WALKED ACCORDING TO THE COURSE OF THIS WORLD, ACCORDING TO THE PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR, THE SPIRIT WHO NOW WORKS IN THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE" (Ephesians 2:2).
The devil works through human agents.
• God knew what Gog was planning against Israel (Ezekiel 38:10-12).
• Before the plan was conceived, God had revealed it to Ezekiel the prophet.
• What is hidden to you, which the enemy is planning against you is bare before God.
Thus, you would need God's help or presence with you to live victoriously in this world of darkness.
You will not be a prey in Jesus' name. Peace!
