YOU WILL BE TREATED AS YOU HAVE TREATED OTHERS
1 “DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS, AND YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED.
12 “DO TO OTHERS WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO DO TO YOU. THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF ALL THAT IS TAUGHT IN THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS."
Mathew 7:1,12 (NLT)
• God would treat you as you have treated others and always remember that God knows the intent of your heart. In other words, every secret motive of your heart is known to God.
- If you stopped the blessing of someone
because you are envious of the person, you would be rewarded accordingly—you would reap whatever you sow (Galatians 6:7). - Whatever you do is a seed that would be harvested, It is a matter of time. If you planned and conspired with other people, for the downfall of someone else, you will surely reap it, in the due season or time (Galatians 6:7).
- If you are a sadist, you derive pleasure or fulfilment in criticizing and condemning others people, and their works; you will reap or harvest It at the due season (Romans 2:6).
- Some are after the ministers of God and their ministries, criticizing them, derisively talking about them and the work they are doing; you would surely reap it:
"WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ANOTHER'S SERVANT? TO HIS OWN MASTER HE STANDS OR FALLS. INDEED, HE WILL BE MADE TO STAND, FOR GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE HIM STAND" (Romans 14:4).
• Those who criticize others are usually the ones who have a lot of things to be corrected in their lives. They are always quick to point out other people's shortcomings, whilst they have a truck-load of similar things to be corrected in their own lives (Matthew 7:1-5).
- If you looked into your life, you would definitely see or get a number of things that needed a correction or change. Do the changes needed to be done in your life before you talk about a change in another person's life (Matthew 7:5).
- There is no reward for someone who criticizes or condemns others. God has not called Us to condemn but to build up the body of Christ:
"LET NO CORRUPT WORD PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT WHAT IS GOOD FOR NECESSARY EDIFICATION, THAT IT MAY IMPART GRACE TO THE HEARERS" (Ephesians 4:29 NKJV). - If you had been speaking against others, especially the ministers of God, ignorantly, you have to repent. Whoever doing such a thing is attracting a curse on himself or herself (Psalm 105:15).
- When you had issue with a genuine minister of God, unjustifiably, the God of the minister would definitely rise to fight for him or her. God always defends His anointed servants (Numbers 12:6-10).
- The problem you find yourself in now, could be a result of what you did or said against your pastor or a minister of God.
• Some even incited other people against their pastors (Numbers 16:1-4). Do not be part of any confusion in the assembly or church or gathering of the living God.
- Do not spearhead a problem in the local church you—the gathering of the people of God.
- Do not rebel against the spiritual authority over your life; pastor, prophet, or whoever has the spiritual oversight over your life (1 Thessalonians 5:12,13; Hebrews 13:7,17).
- An affront or offence against a servant of God is an affront against God Himself. Any evil or bad thing done against God's servant is taken personally by Him (Numbers 12:6-10; Acts 9:1-5).
- Some are under a curse from a servant of God. If you are under such a curse, restitute your way, endeavour to meet the minister and let him or her pray for you.
• There are spiritual principles that govern things in God's Kingdom on earth, thus, If you work against or live contrary to these principles, things might not be well with you.
- Note:
a. If you were to pass any comment on things which pertain a minister of God, do your findings accurately before you do.
WHATEVER things are true, are noble, are just, are pure, are lovely, and are of good report, are the things you should talk about (Philippians 4:8).
CONSIDER If what you wanted to say had any virtue in it, and If it was praiseworthy, before you said it.
b. Do not be judgemental or critical in your speeches or comments about any minister of God.
c. Be quick, or swift, to hear and slow to speak:
"SO THEN, MY BELOVED BRETHREN, LET EVERY MAN [woman] BE SWIFT TO HEAR, SLOW TO SPEAK, SLOW TO WRATH" (James 1:19 NKJV).
d. Wish other people well and do not rejoice in the calamity of others:
17 DO NOT REJOICE WHEN YOUR ENEMY FALLS, AND DO NOT LET YOUR HEART BE GLAD WHEN HE STUMBLES; 18 LEST THE LORD SEE IT, AND IT DISPLEASE HIM, AND HE TURN AWAY HIS WRATH FROM HIM" (Proverbs 24:17,18 NKJV).
READ: Romans 12:15 - Take everything to God in prayer (Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
• Always ask God to help you, give you what to say, through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you.
- You would need to always acknowledge the Holy Spirit, and check on the inside of you, whether to talk or not; If there is any situation which warranted that (Proverbs 3:5,6; Romans 8:14).
- If you can tame your tongue, control yourself in talking, you would save yourself from a number of troubles:
9 DON'T REPAY EVIL FOR EVIL. DON'T RETALIATE WITH INSULTS WHEN PEOPLE INSULT YOU. INSTEAD, PAY THEM BACK WITH A BLESSING. THAT IS WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO, AND HE WILL GRANT YOU HIS BLESSING. 10 FOR THE SCRIPTURES SAY, “IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY LIFE AND SEE MANY HAPPY DAYS, KEEP YOUR TONGUE FROM SPEAKING EVIL AND YOUR LIPS FROM TELLING LIES" (1 Peter 3:9,10 NLT).
READ: Job 13:5; Proverbs 10:19; 13:3; 17:28; 21:23.
• Make prayer the official way through which you answer those who may be persecuting you.
- Do not let the devil find any incriminating thing in you life: "I WILL NO LONGER TALK MUCH WITH YOU, FOR THE RULER OF THIS WORLD IS COMING, AND HE HAS NOTHING IN ME" (John 14:30 NKJV).
- Samuel also said: "HERE I AM. WITNESS AGAINST ME BEFORE THE LORD AND BEFORE HIS ANOINTED: "WHOSE OX HAVE I TAKEN, OR WHOSE DONKEY HAVE I TAKEN, OR WHOM HAVE I CHEATED? WHOM HAVE I OPPRESSED, OR FROM WHOSE HAND HAVE I RECEIVED ANY BRIBE WITH WHICH TO BLIND MY EYES? I WILL RESTORE IT TO YOU" " (1 Samuel 12:3 NKJV).
- Remember, an account would be given for every idle word you speak (Matthew 12:36).
• You will not regret at the end of your journey on earth in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus' Christ.
Peace!
