FEEDING ON HIS FAITHFULNESS
Hello! Great friends, I am more than happy coming your way this time. I know is been a while. Thank God for the opportunity to share with you wonderful friends –
We are enjoined to walk in faith. For we walk (our conversation – manner of life) by faith. But for you to in faith, there is the need to feed your faith on His Faithful. In other words, your faith should be rest on God’s faithfulness. In the times we live in, it has become critical for believers to constantly fuel their faith tank with God’s faithfulness. Sir, I know you are walking in faith, but if that faith is not grounded, rooted, established on God’s faithfulness, it’s a hollow faith, it might not deliver any dividends.
The Bible says, He who called you IS FAITHFUL, who also will do it. And He who promised is faithful. (1Thess 4:23, Heb. 10:23) Let’s remind you that the two (2) letter word “IS” is the same as “I AM”. When I am talking about someone, I will say, “He is……” BUT if it’s about me, I will say “I AM………..”
So He who called you called is faithful is a reported statement made by someone about God. IF GOD WERE TO REPORT ABOUT HIMSELF TO US, HE WOULD SAY I WHO CALLED YOU I AM FAITHFUL. Scripture accentuates, His faithfulness is great, and it endures to all generation. He surrounds Himself with His faithfulness (Ps 119:90, Lam 3:23 and Ps 89: 8).
The faithfulness of God is great. If you were to weigh it, it would be heavy. It endures, meaning it does not cease. Even your our unbelief cannot make the faithfulness ineffective. I remember while we are unfaithful, HE STILL remains faithful. If I surrounded myself with a blue cloth and you appeared before me, I would certainly see the blue cloth. When you look to God, you see what He surrounds Himself with, that’s faithfulness.
We know God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah. I can hypothesize that as of the time God made that promise to them, no woman at her age had given birth. There was no example for her to look up to or derive inspiration from. Thank God Heb. 11:11 says she judged Him faithful. I can hear her say though I haven’t seen in before, though I haven’t read it anywhere, I WILL REST MY FAITH IN HIS FAITHFULNESS. Anytime Sarah looked to God, she saw what God surrounds Himself with: FAITHFULNESS. When God gave Zacharias and Elizabeth the promise of John, they could FEED THEIR FAITH ON THE WHAT HE DID FOR ABRAHAM AND SARAH.
Your head won’t be bowed forever, your shoulder won’t drop and you won’t be put to shame BECAUSE of the certainty of HIS FAITHFULNESS.
I may pass a seasonable age like Sarah; I may not know any man like Mary; I may be going to the cross with some atom of fear like Jesus; I may be in prison like Paul and on the Island of Patmos like John the beloved. BUT I HAVE FAITH IN HIS FAITHFULNESS. FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS. What God has said concerning you might not look possible BUT feed on His faithfulness by looking at what He did for Mary.
