A Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma - Day 4

I want to inspire and encourage more positive vibes on Steemit. Comedy is one approach I'm taking, and this series is my second.

Here's Your Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma!

[Dream Come True] Sam Tageson is a huge hockey fan born with a serious heart condition. He's spent his entire life ignoring doctors' advice by enjoying his favorite activities like hockey and skateboarding. Through the Make A Wish Foundation, Sam was able to sign a one-day contract with the NHL's San Jose Sharks, practice, dress with the team, and skate on the ice with the team for player introductions before a game. If you'd like to see exactly what it looks like to have struggled for your entire life, and then experience your biggest dream for the first and potentially only time, watch this a few times:

[Don't Assume] Many of us may have laughed or cringed at this internet-famous tattoo "fail". What we should remember is that there's often more to the story. In this case, this tattoo was a tribute to his newly-wed wife who tragically died in a fire just after their wedding. It wasn't his fault that the original "artist" did a terrible job. Instead of joining the "Internet" in laughing at it, or generating memes for fun, a kind tattoo artist fixed the man's meaningful tribute to his departed wife for free. We need more people who think and act this way, don't we? Just imagine how much better the world would be if our first reflex would be compassion and understanding.

[Homeless Does Not Mean Hopeless] People can be quick to judge and alienate homeless people. Others may think they don't deserve help because they did it to themselves, are addicts, or are lazy. While everyone is free to form their own opinions, we're also free to stop rationalizing excuses for our laziness to help others in need. What would happen if every homeless person was given a transformation like the homeless veteran below? While it might not mean much to those who don't need it, just imagine how deeply impactful it could be for someone to SEE and FEEL their potential again, to gain the confidence that they are worth something, and can present themselves proudly.

Instead of potentially refusing to give homeless people money under the assumption that they'd spend it on drugs or alcohol, please give them food, necessities, or restorative services. When I give people snacks or drinks on my city streets, I see their eyes light up. If they don't, then they aren't truly in need. To see these people look back at me after I walk away and turn around to them is an amazing feeling you should experience for yourself.

This man was homeless for 25 years in Spain. Here is his reaction after seeing himself for the first time, completely unable to recognize himself.

See his full reaction linked here.

I hope this was uplifting. Please see previous posts below and follow for more.

I resteemed this - spreading the "good news". This is a breath of fresh air especially compared to all of the negative news on the major media channels. I'm hoping others will also re-steem.

Thanks a lot! Putting the posts together has also been really nice because I'm immersing myself in nothing but positivity on an "Internet" that's most often structured to promote negativity, criticism, and hate. Glad you're enjoying the posts. Knowing it's helping others makes it easier for me to put them together.

Some great stories. Giving something to the homeless people can be very fulfilling.

I always keep some granola bars in my car for a snack in case I get hungry. I passed an older homeless woman begging and noticed that no one was giving her anything. I got out of my car and gave her a granola bar, not knowing how she would like it as compared to her wanting some dollar bills. Well, she literally lit up and immediately started eating the bar. So I went inside the store and bought her a cup of coffee. It made my day, maybe even more than hers!

I saw video before about this homeless guy! It is amazing!
The story about NHL guy is really touching, you can see how happy he is.
Thank you for making this post bud
