There's some fake stuff out there... Don't mess around on Ebay, just buy from Mike Maloney and GoldSilver.com.

How did you find out? Did you drill through them? or the weight? don't trust whoever told you possibly either

People have been warning about the fakes for some time now. I've been buying my metal at JM Bullion for years now. Good price, free shipping, and insurance over a certain price which isn't that much... Can't remember it now but you can check it out on their website. I price them against APMEX and SD Bullion every so often and JM bullion is usually the best deal overall... SD Bullion charges shipping on small orders which kills the pricing.

I buy from JM Bullion too. I've been very pleased with them. You can also quickly do the ice test to see if your silver is real. Take two pieces of ice. Put them on a flat surface. Put the silver coin on one of the ice cubes. If the ice cube with the coin melts faster than the one without you can be pretty sure you have a silver coin. Silver is a metal that naturally conducts heat thus melting the ice faster than just a sitting piece of ice. I stay away from Ebay too risky. They are getting very good at making fake silver coins right down to the weight. Tooooo risky.

Cool tip on the ice!!! going to check it out..

Buy only from the well-established mints and precious metals dealers. I prefer APMEX, JDbullion, and one micro-mint I've been looking at called Silver Shield. Too much risk of being ripped-off on eBay, especially buying gold. Pay a little premium to avoid getting totally ripped off.

A word to the wise would be in order, but it's clear you've already heard it. I purchase bullion (coins, rounds) from trusted online dealers or locals willing to compete. I buy a lot of stuff on eBay, but NEVER coins or bullion. Chalk your losses up to the cost of an inexpensive education.

And there's your second mistake (lol) - telling the world what your bullion's worth.

hahahaha

Tucked away in a vault. I'd never store it at home! =)

The higher prices go, the more scammers, thieves, & muggers will be out there. Buy from reputable dealers. Test your metals if not sure. Carry little when selling.

yeah lots of it on ebay and always over priced on the real stuff too.
checkout JM Bullion you can get 10 oz for your first buy at spot ... Bold Bullion has a similar offer.

Post some pictures....
