This is a story of a seven-year-old orphan NAMED CHANG, NICKNAMED LITTLE LI working as a delivery boy in China which has ignited a debate about child poverty and access to good education and standard living in the country.
LITTLE LIL'S EARLY LIFE
The boy was raised by deliveryman Yan Shifang, his father's former colleague. His father is believed to be dead and his mother remarried and lost contact with the poor child which is very sorrowful.
Since he was three, Chang(LITTLE LI) has been living with Mr Yan(THE GUARDIAN), who was friends with his father, and earns his keep by helping with Yan's work as a delivery man.
Mr Yan he's caretaker, said in an interview that he used to bring little li (the poor child) along for deliveries of packages and other products, but Little Li enjoyed the job so much that he desired a little delivery cart of his own.
"I had a very good relationship with his father, so I felt that if I didn't take him in with love and respect I would feel bad about it."
said Mr yan.
When Little Li is asked if he finds helping out with the deliveries hard, he answers "no" with a grin, which means he was not forced to do it, he is willing to do so.
which was suprising.
everyone was amazed by the true potentials they saw in the loving boy.
Little Li's guardian MR YAN,works as a courier and began bringing the boy on his rounds after moving him from a rural area of Shandong province.
The boy now carries out deliveries alone.
Wang Qingwei, president of Qinghai Chess Association, was waiting for a package at his home on Jan. 9. he never expected the deliveryman to be a seven years old boy. Wang was shocked to see Li pulling a cart carrying dozens of packages.
