The little things that matter
27th Feb 4:20pm for 1st March
Do little things matter?
Do they strike a place most tender?
Do little things make people smile?
Do they mean alot to those so high?
A beautiful thought, a smile, a poem, a Hi, a hug, a sacrifice...
Too many to count
One might not know the cost of that beautiful thought
... For many waves of emotions go through this mind,
'Tis easy to forget about everyone else.
Yet, as little a thing as it may seem,
You thought about how to help others
What of the smile
... For many events unfold in a day that could steal joy from you.
Yet you smiled bringing rays of hope to someone else,
Should incase that could be the saving grace of a depressed soul.
Even though you felt no better inside-no reason to smile.
A poem?
Truly is a gift from a Poetic heart that should be merry.
But when the heart has been broken so.
That inspiration lacks a steady channel to flow,
It becomes difficult to even remember you have a gift
But then you rise and try because someone special has to be celebrated.
Or is it a Hi,
That goes along way to fill the emptiness in the heart of others
Or the hug.
That some crave so much.
Or the sacrifices you make
Though your body cries out for rest
Your mind for quiet
You don't mind because your word has gone forth.
Therefore you must honour- sweat or blood.
And many more little things, they may seem that you do
Only, you may not realize
That they meant too much for those who received them.
They will remember and smile,
Knowing that in all the world,
Someone cares about the littlest things that matter.
To a legendary
To one who is royalty
To one full of loyalty
To a fine warrior
To the Emperor
To You.
