YOUR CONVICTION

“I KNOW AND AM CONVINCED by the Lord Jesus THAT THERE IS NOTHING UNCLEAN OF ITSELF; BUT TO HIM WHO CONSIDERS ANYTHING TO BE UNCLEAN, TO HIM IT IS UNCLEAN.”

If you are convinced that something is good, and It is not outrightly condemned in the Bible; you can go ahead with your conviction.

Note: this state takes a level of maturity. This might not be ideal for someone who is yet matured in the Lord, because such can unknowingly interpret fleshly impulses to be God's conviction or approval on whatever he or she wanted or intended to do.

That being said, whilst your conviction or persuasion is being practiced, you should be watchful that what you do, or you are doing, is not affecting negatively, wounding the heart of other believers (Romans 14:15).

Your faith or maturity should not be flaunted or shown off to the point that the weak brothers and sisters are being threatened in their faith.

When you find yourself in the midst of those who are particular about one issue or another; be it on dressing, what a believer should wear and what they should not, or on the issue of what a
believer should eat or not, and many other controversial issues that the whole body of Christ does not agree on—you would need to put aside your knowledge and condescend yourself to be all things to all men, that you might get done the job you are assigned to do by God.

Apostle Paul says: “FOR THOUGH I AM FREE FROM ALL MEN, I HAVE MADE MYSELF A SERVANT TO ALL THAT I MIGHT WIN THE MORE; TO THE WEAK I BECAME AS WEAK, THAT I MIGHT WIN THE WEAK. I HAVE BECOME ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN, THAT I MIGHT
BY ALL MEANS SAVE SOME” (1 Corinthians 9:19,22).
