Interesting story. It seems to me there is enough material here for a whole book.
I have always wonder about the possibility of these mysterious humanized animal representations in hindu and egiptian art being the result of some alien contact. I think your story provides an interesting take on the matter.
I liked the characters development and the setting up of the plot. Quite intriguing.
