Minute-Reads: Ruined
He hurried home, there was a curious quality to the air and it made him feel nervous. As it came into view he paused in shock and fear.
It was a smouldering ruin. There was something else on the wind too. Something acrid, poisonous. He made to move closer.
"Run my friend. Run! It's all gone, destroyed, nothing left. Everyone is dead. Run, please run!"
Staggering toward him was one of the old workers who lived on the outskirts. He was in a bad way.
"What happened, I don't understand?"
The old worker grabbed him fiercely.
"The Gods happened. Now run, go!"
He ran.
"Honey, did you do something about that goddamn ants nest out back?"
"Yeah sweetheart. Burnt it out and sprayed it with the ant powder. That's the last we will see of them!"
