RE: Metastasis, Part 21: All Good Things

I liked this part a lot! You develop the story so well. And I like that I got a short summary of what happened before starting the new part :)

I have always liked stories about time travelers and their meetings in different times at different ages. And this is very interesting as the father and daughter meet and work together. I feel sorry for Mira that she saw her own grave but well, what does that mean to her? I guess that time travelers don't really die? :)

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your curie vote!

Thank you for the kind words!

I've actually explored the limits of my own spin on time travel throughout this series. One of the main difference between my version and other versions typically used is that I have a single timeline. No parallel universes, no changing the past. Or, at least you can't change the past by using knowledge from the future that was only gained from that past even occurring.

It's... complicated, and hard to explain at times. Basically, I'm trying a more concrete/deterministic approach than the Doctor Who, anything goes, "wibbly wobbly" approach.

Another difference is that these time travelers, though powerful, are very much mortal. They can be killed, and they also don't live forever either. This, combined with a deterministic timeline, makes discovering details of one's own death a very traumatic experience, as there is no way for them to change their own future if they learn concrete information about it.

Thank you for the information. Now I understand why she was so upset..

I like that you changed the approach to time traveling. It makes your story unique and interesting..

Have a great weekend
