Everitt, I'm thinking that this steemit thing is a waste of time. I write and post, and write and post, and read and comment, and comment some more. It reminds me of watching my car rust. I'm getting back into stained glass artwork and might start doing that again to generate some income. Just thinking outloud. Take care, sir!

A lot can be said about the spinetingleing excitement of watching paint dry. Or just sitting on the porch smoking a cigar.
The one reedeming value of Steem at the present time is that it IS possible to make some money.
I bought a car, a boat, a lot of tools, paid six months rent on the apartment we used to live in...and bought a house.
All from the proceeds of wasting my time on Steem.
Steem is much like a garden or a farmer's field. A LOT of work is needed for peparation..then wait...wait...wait...let it grow. Will you make a crop or not?

Thanks for the reply. I will probably keep plugging away at this. Winter is coming and I'm going to get my hernia fixed in January so what else can I do sitting on my ass healing. We would all like more upvotes, but I consider that my fault for posting stuff nobody wishes to read. Again, thanks!

Other than 'bot votes the key is to have followers who are like the stuff you post.
Finding the right market is hard.
You've heard it before, we have to follow our hearts and post stuff that winds our clocks and the following will come. For me, I'm not sure I have a particular passion. I do many things, a jack of many trades and master of none. I'll just keep plugging along. I'm thinking about spending more time helping Newbies and hanging around the health and professional hashtags. I have interests and experience to bring to bear there. Thanks!
I agree that it makes money for very few ...but I was commenting on youtube for free and hate everything about it so I am here to support the platform more than make money from it. I would like nothing more than to see youtube fail.
