I know what it feels like to create a lot of persona to constantly suit a particular kind of life that will not really give away our one true personality really. I could relate to the aspect of this in this amazing chapter. Thanks for taking the time to write

and yes - Derek... well, he has lived a very very very long life and is only now in this new body.... but he has practiced many years of changing personas to become the ultimate predator (ask @enginewitty... hehehe he loves that quality about Derek!)
but this is very new to Talia
She has always been able to be herself , and comfortable to be so....
and she hates Derek for all that he has stolen from her..... so for her to be creating this persona - even as she justifies that she needs to do it, in order to control this situation for her own benefit..... she still hates the fact that she is becoming more and more like him.
but... as @bluefinstudios has noted.... after the explosion.... Derek affected Talia in a way that she will forever be "stained" by him.... and possibly influenced by him and his character for a long time...
hmmmmm I have to say... I hope she wins ;)

Hahaha well yeah I hit rep 70 a week ago and i must say it's been satisfy really hitting it, I feel good about it too, lol so in Earnest I could call Derek an immortal with a really intricate lifestyle even when I really need to go back to check out his really enigmatic character really, but I love the fact that Talia is trying to fight not to really embody him because it can be daunting to really suppress it. I'll be really reading more of this earnestly
Yes he is not quite immortal... But has the ability to repair and stretch his life :)
And yes.. she is trying to figure out what to do... But she believes she is more powerful since she is the one who survived the explosion the most.
Hmmmmm but we will see
