Thanks, I hope it's OK that I broke up the initial prompt like that. I tried to stay true to the information given in the prompt and the feelings associated with it.
I loved the flashbacks as well. Gave it a depth I don't think you could obtain as well otherwise.
When I looked into and thought more about being in a shipwreck, I figured there was probably a lot of PTSD in survivors from that, so that gave me a good reason to split up the prompt and start the story from after the wreck instead of before.
