Oh my God.

The boy's mother was the assassin. Between, she is a bad ass assassin. I would name her Flash, one of the characters in my favourite Comics for her superhuman ability to move faster than bullets.

Nice one @warpedpoetic. I enjoyed the story and it kind of reminds me of my own horrific experience. I wish I had a bad ass dad like the boy's mother in your story.
