The Mirror's Truth

At 2 a.m., he looked into the mirror—same face, but the reflection’s eyes were crying.
He smiled. The mirror version wept.
“Why are you happy?” the reflection asked.
“Because I finally stopped lying,” he replied.
Next morning the mirror stood empty.
And he… is still smiling.
