"Trap" describes what I felt as I watched it.

What the fuck was this thing?

All I can say it that this was flagrant false advertising.

Josh Hartnett was great. If I were reviewing this film on the basis of one actor's performance, it'd be an A+.

The problem is everything else.

I don't even know where to start.

The concert "trap" is only about half of the movie.

M. Night Shyamalan's daughter is talented enough that I liked her in the film; but, she amounted to nothing regarding the plot.

The film was swinging for the fences to begin with by making the protagonist a serial killer.

I'll give Shyamalan credit for not entirely fucking that up.

Still, this is a bad movie built around a great performance.

If Josh Hartnett gets an Oscar nomination for this, I'd be supportive.

It doesn't change the fact that the movie has more plot holes than a slice of Swiss cheese.
