I have seen many films from Haneke - also the two films that you mention - and those are indeed worth watching. He is one of a few directors who actually made a remake of their own film, in his case: Funny Games. I saw the original version but haven't seen the US remake (yet).
His films are always interesting but at times hard/ painful too watch and definitely not everyone's cup of tea. In my opinion, he makes the kind of films that you don't watch repetitively but seeing them once is definitely worth it.
Completely agreed about haneke. Nice list too, I forgot to say this. i will pick one or two :)
By asghar farhadi have u seen "Beautiful city" (2004) ? One of the best iranian films , i prefer this a bit more than a separation (Nothing to take away from a separation though, just i loved it even more for it's multi layered texture) . I guess u might have seen it :)
I don't remember having seen that film. I will put it on my 'to watch' list. I think I've seen very few Iranian films, perhaps a handful. The only place to see them, I guess, is on film festivals or in arthouse cinemas. Although, that might be changing.
