Taxation Is Slavery: What Tax Percentage Makes It Not Slavery?

If we look at slavery from an economic lens, if slavery was taking one hundred percent of the fruits of one's labour against their voluntary consent then at what percentage is it no longer slavery? Where do we make the distinction with taxation? Taxation, like a personal income tax, takes a certain percentage of the fruits of one's labour. For some, this is NOT a consensual transaction as we are born into this system without explicit approval in favor of it. We are coerced to work within the system or be punished if we work outside of the system, like in the black market. Is it fair to say that slavery is still active today, and is it fair to say that taxation is a form of economic slavery to a centralized authority?

It's a philosophical question, so what do you think from your perspective. This is a nice little thought experiment on ethics, economics and consent.

Taxation, especially for programs that offend my core beliefs; is theft!

I pay taxes on 8 pieces of real estate, most of which is sent to schools. Their classes were so bad when it came time to send my kids, that I had to pay for private school...just to get them a basic education! Now they find planned parenthood, which is the foulest kind of murder. We need to stop the school tax removal from the state, and fix the public schools before there's nothing left to save!

So call your politicians, and push them!
