Interview with Blockchain Business Magazine at WCC2019, NFT.NYC this Week, and FIO AMA

in #fio4 years ago

I got a chance to chat with Blockchain Business Magazine in October 2019 at the World Crypto Conference about usability and the Foundation for Interwallet Operability. It's about 16 minutes long and a fun conversation if you want to check it out.

When this was recorded in December, I was consulting for Dapix as the Chief Decentralization Officer, but in December I joined the FIO board as the Managing Director. We also switched from the ":" delimiter to the "@" delimiter.

If you'd like to share this video around via Twitter, you can do so by retweeting this tweet.

I also recently did an interview with @IanUtile of https://attn.live/ and David Gold, the Dapix CEO about FIO and the upcoming NFT.NYC event this week where I'll be speaking on a panel about blockchain naming and DNS:

And finally, I did an AMA ("Ask Me Anything") about FIO last week which is really helpful if you have any questions about FIO. The AMA transcript is available online here:
Road to Mainnet: AMA Transcript

For mass adoption of cryptocurrencies (not just Steem, but the whole industry), we have to make things so easy to use, everyone can do it. That's what FIO is all about.

You can find out more at https://fio.foundation/ where we have links to our dev portal (for those working on a crypto project who want to integrate with FIO), the white paper, the roadmap, and the explainer and demo videos.

On the Steem side of things, I've had some good conversations with members from every aspect of the community (token holders, steemit employees, witnesses, etc). I don't have any solid details to report at the moment, but many different paths and scenarios are being evaluated regarding the benefits and potential threats with Tron taking over Steemit. One thing I will say, I am proud of the passion I've seen over the last few days within this community. This community is strong and will defend itself and work to grow even more valuable.
