do you know about the life of a goldfish?

in #fish7 years ago

goldfish turned out to have a remarkable adaptation, able to live in the environment without oxygen in a long time as well as can tolerate high levels of alcohol in the body.

According to researchers, goldfish developed the adaptation since 8 million years ago through a process called "whole genome duplication".

The adaptation makes goldfish has an extra set of genes that can be converted to fit the needs of the body and the environment.

After all, every adaptation has consequences. Humans will feel tired when lack of oxygen because the body produces lactic acid.

In the case of carp, the alcohol produced in metabolism accumulates in the body, reaching 55 milligrams per 100 milliliters.

The concentration of alcohol in high concentration makes goldfish "drunk", moving more slowly than usual. However, the fish is still quite aware of the threat of predators and can escape.

It is certain

Hi! I'm a bot, and this answer was posted automatically. Check this post out for more information.

I've got to big fat gold fishes in an big aquarium , every morning from the moment I enter the room they start to live and they begin to jump in the water to pull my attention if it's not happening fast enough .

And I'm never awake at the same time so no it's not the routine , even when I stay awake they stay awake also , they almost don't sleep at times like that , strange as it is but they are very aware and every living creature is intelligent .

You have to be human to think that they are or would be inferior too humans.
