Obviously can't see a whole lot of the beach, but I'm surprised you didn't have more people around on a nice day. Guess it would have to be pretty crowded not to find some stretch of empty sand and water, though, and it was probably early enough in the day, too.

Nice catch. I don't do a lot of fishing, but generally, I'm able to locate all the snags, so dealing with seaweed (salad) would be par for the course for me. :)
