RE: Is Zumba Really That Effective?
Hi, @purepinay -
I think you know I lost "half my size" eight years ago and have not had trouble with my weight since. This was after 50 years of being the fat girl and having nothing work.
The difference for me was getting over my excuses and trying until something worked. That something was to stop counting calories and to start counting nutrition. I worked then and now to try to get 100% of the 19 essential nutrient each day and never think about calories. And I try hard not to eat the nasties such as food coloring, gmo's, pesticides etc. BOOM! Weight gone!
As to exercise - I work out every single day, but only need to go 10 minutes to have it count. Once I get 10 minutes in, it usually goes longer. I am sick now and exercise in bed and/or at a "ballet bar" on my balcony. It does not take much to keep me in shape now. I might do two sets of lunges in the morning and then cat/cow in the afternoon for example. It's a nice keyboard break.
I'm so glad to know the little things count. With my balance and stamina issues, Zumba is out of the question, but I can laugh to think of trying :)
Wow thanks for the thoughtful response. I haven't seen a Steemian respond like yours in a very long time. Last time I got moments this long was when my upvote was worth 25 dollars lol.
Anyways, am really proud of you, losing weight that much is tough and congratulations for maintaining your healthy lifestyle.
Xo,
Gil

I wish I could say I am doing better, @purepinay, but I seem to be staying sick. Thank you so much for asking and I hope soon to have a better answer.
