The thing about protecting free speech is that you are going to defend things that are offensive, offensive speech is the only kind that needs any protection, what some people call "hate speech", have you ever heard of someone having their "love speech" silenced? The solution to racists and those who offend you is not to try to silence them, it is to let them speak and expose themselves for what they are and use logic and reason to demonstrate the inferiority of their ideas.
have seen "love speech" silenced many a time.... unrequited love is a bitch and people can be mean, but dats life right ? lolz
Perhaps by jaded ex girlfriends but no one gets arrested for non offensive speech in those places where speech is criminalized.
