Anemone De Cayenne

I continue to introduce you to spring flowers, but today there will be an exception. I continue the theme of Anemone.

As I already wrote in the previous post, anemones are tuberous and rhizome. We met with the rhizome of the Forest Anemone, and now we have a tuber variety of anemones De Cayenne.

As you can see in the photo, the flowers in this plant can be either simple, like poppies, or needle-like, somewhat reminiscent of an astra.

Colors are also different - red, lilac, purple, white.

The height of the peduncle also varies, depending on where this plant is planted.

Anemones De Cayenne are not demanding for sunlight, so they grow well under the canopy of trees or in the open.

As I already wrote, this variety is tuberous and this anemone multiplies in two ways - seeds and tubers.

Seeds perfectly ripen, though this anemone blooms in late summer. So this spring can not be called a spring.

Digging the tubers of this anemone is not necessary, they perfectly winter in the open ground. But if you bought the tubers on sale, then put them in the soil better in early spring.

During the storage of the tubers, the anemones dry up very much and look like solid corrugated stone. But they must be soaked in a pink solution of potassium permanganate and allowed to stand for 24 hours, then planted in the soil.

The awakening of sleeping buds on tubers will be about a month, so mark the place of planting so as not to lose.

Care of this plant is not difficult. We need constant weeding and watering.

Anemones bloom for a long time, as new flower stalks and buds constantly appear in the bush.

Plant a better heap, a dozen tubers in one place. Then bloom different colors and shapes of the flower. The spectacle is amazing.
