Today's meal : THAI FUSION

in #food7 years ago (edited)

Sunday, my favourite day of the week. Why isit so? That is because, Sunday is the day I get to spend some quality having a meal at a good restaurant. The hype is more about getting to enjoy good food and have a good conversation over the meal. It's rare that I have a meal with my family in a restaurant, and when we do we will find some unique restaurant. This week I brought my family to a FUSSION Thai restaurant. I took a few photo to share with all of my steemit mates!! So hope you enjoy them.

We started the meal with

pucuk paku salad with young coconut

I was really impressed with the flavour, it has a strong wok hey flavour which is weird because that flavour is achieve inky with stir frying food in a wok with high heat and that salad is not usually prepared in such way. The prawn, although small but pack with full of flavour. Vege sweet and savoury.

Next comes the

lemongrass tandoori chicken sate

image.jpeg
Flavour is so complex, it has a very strong peanut-turmeric marinade. It's served with green chille sauce and side of cabbage salad.

The last appetiser,

smoked duck with pomelo salad

image.jpeg
The smoked duck and pomelo salad was dressed with a garlic, ginger, chille paste sauce. The salad is then tossed along with fried shallots, sunflower seed, pumpkin seeds and shredded toasted coconut. I know I said this before but this is also incredibly complex in flavour .

For main course we had

hang leay curry chicken

If you tried maggi curry before, it's just like it but less msg. It's still quite Yummy

2nd main is

clear Tom yam soup

Spicy, salty, sour filled with mushrooms, prawns and fish

3rd and last main

poach fish fillet with chille and lime

image.jpg
The fish was so flavourful, it's has absorb the taste of the chile, garlic , ginger lime broth. It's served with a bed of refreshing salad.

Can't end the meal without a satisfying dessert

pandan ice cream

It's accompanied by sea coconut, jack fruit, coconut meat, pine nut and cendol.

At the end the whole meal cost us 280myr, about 70usd for 4 pax. Consider expensive in our country but it was satisfying!!
