Chef: Citrus Garlic Chicken Kabob
This recipe is as easy as it is tasty (read: really easy, really tasty)!
Sometimes you just run out of time in the day. Unfortunately, with so little time, eating is one of those activities that we take shortcuts on. Fast food is indeed fast, but it also quickly drains the wallet and expands that waistline.
The goal of mealtime is to fill your stomach with high-nutrient food to fuel your awesomeness. The goal of hustling is to fit as many meaningful activities in the day as possible. Pick meals that help you do both.
Citrus Garlic Chicken Kabob
1/4 cup lemon or lime juice
1/4 cup canola oil
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp course ground black pepper
4-6 lbs chicken, diced into 1.5-inch pieces
Skewers (bamboo/metal)
If using bamboo skewers, soak in water.
In a pan on a low heat, add the garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Heat until garlic is a shade darker than prior to heating, and pour the roasted spices in a bowl.
Add the lemon juice, oil and salt. Mix vigorously until the mixture has a "creamy" texture. Add chicken and let sit for 15-30 minutes (or longer if desired, up to 6 hours). Carefully thread meat onto skewers, and grill until juices run clear.
Enjoy!
Try the quick kiwi marinade for real meat
Kentucky fried gator, mmm
@ragetester gator tastes just like chicken, and there is a reason the serve it with okra: dry gator+slimey okra=ok texture.
Though there is truth to citrus+salt+grilled/charred that makes the taste buds get down to funky town like James Brown in a hospital gown.
