VENEZUELAN MEALS - WHAT DO YOU PREFER?

Hello dear steemians! Today I present a small game titled:

"VENEZUELAN MEALS - WHAT DO YOU PREFER?"

Below I show you a series of traditional Venezuelan dishes, that surely some will know and have tasted; and for others they will be totally unknown. The game consists in selecting the dish that you would like to eat some day; At the same time, this simple game will let you know in a simple and funny way a bit about our Venezuelan culinary culture. Without further ado, come and meet this series of delicious dishes:

1. Black Roast: Also called "round boy" consists of a meat cut with a cylindrical shape, extracted from the back of the beef. It is prepared with spices, wine, sweet pepper and papelón (direct product of sugar cane molasses) which gives it a dark tone and a sweet flavor. It is usually accompanied with white rice, fried plantain slices and salad.

2. Criollo Pavilion: This food is exquisite in flavors, its components are rice, mechada meat, slices of fried plantain and black beans. We usually eat it in lunches accompanied by a refreshing drink to "pass the heat".

3. Hallaca: It consists of a dough made with corn flour, seasoned with chicken or beef broth, which is added onoto to give it color. For its cooking, the hallaca is wrapped in a banana leaf. It can be stuffed with meat, olives, capers and raisins. The hallaca is traditionally served for Christmas, accompanied by ham bread and salad.

4. Cachapa: in Venezuela, corn is transformed into different Creole dishes that always delight the palate of Venezuelans. Among these dishes we find "La Cachapa", which consists of a thin cake of corn ground with papelón (or sugar), cooked in a frying pan, what we call here "budare". It is usually accompanied with a good "cheese and hand" and spread with butter. It is an exquisite meal!

5. Arepa: It consists of a kind of tortilla made with white or yellow corn flour, which is prepared by kneading the flour with water, salt, to form a homogeneous mass, this is shaped flattened and placed roasting in a pan . You can fill it with whatever you want: meat, cheese, ham, chicken, etc.

6. boiled chicken, meat or fish: Commonly called "sancocho" is a soup based on cassava, potato, garlic, carrot, green leaves and various vegetables to which you usually add chicken or beef.
