From passion to certified chef
My first day while filling the form
Most times sitting down to reflect about one's life and planning ahead is very important. The world is changing and so we need to adjust to some direction it is tilting to.
So one things I've come to realise is that having a productive skill is not just necessary it is essential. Then when you have this skill, it is important to also build it up or upgrade it to the level that fits your environment so as to excel in it.

I'm a lover of skill, I like exploring, I like learning so many things even if it doesn't bring economic value immediately to me but at least it brings a lot of benefits to my family and friends.
Within my stay in steemit, I've been able to get lot of skills and I appreciate the fact that I got the basics here. Then I decided to upgrade this skills learn to be productive in my locality.
I've been working online as a medical virtual assistant as a pharmacy technician which is my primary skill. But recently an opportunity of upgrading my cooking skills pop up and then I grab hold of this opportunity without hesitation.
Due to much responsibilities I couldn't balance up all my activities but I choose to concentrate on some areas as my priority but I really missed this space.
MY SKILL UPGRADE

I decided to upgrade my skills on continental dishes and pastry. Getting international and professional skill on hospitality management and lifestyle. What is more? I also explored our traditional dishes, learn how to cook them and also learn more skills on food plating.

More to that I learn everything in housekeeping from arranging to production of everything needed to maintain a house. Such as:
- Insecticides and pesticides production
- Toilet wash and disinfectants (Izal)
- Liquid soap and soda soap
- Perfume and hair cream production (both normal hair creams and for hair growth)
This skill has not only exposed me but has added more value to who I am as I know my worth in my community.

LESSON LEARNED
In life when you have passion for something,you need to unleash that skill and bring out the better you from you. This will not only benefit you but the people around you, then you will realize how much value you have and how you can add value to people lifes.
I was exposed, Iet lots of people in life, I understand the different areas of life, I viewed life in different perspectives and understand it's value. I also understood the true value of growth in life and self-development.

ACHIEVEMENT
It was a good journey, the beat decision made for myself, aside building up that practical skills, I also achieved confidence in me, knowing my potential and building up self confidence.
Today, I'm so proud of myself as I can confidently deliver quality culinary services to my clients. I've achieved adjustments and accomodating different minds, working with great minds to achieve a sustainable and reliable culinary services in my locality.
I've gained trust from my clients and gotten more jobs and still seek for more so as to gain more experience and showcase my skills as well.
CONCLUSION
Growth is a natural process, it remains constant in life. Therefore when you invest in yourself, it is never a waste, because no knowledge is a waste. Rather, you are opening more opportunities for yourself even though you may not see it yet but there is hope. I encourage you to unleash your hides skill in you and stand up for yourself and humanity.
