Hello Kitty Boba freakshake
I made this sugar bomb Hello Kitty boba freak shake because I wanted to do something new and crazy with food. The Hello Kitty cookie I made myself and I thought it would be cute to make a shake with a Hello Kitty cookie as a topper. If you are Asian, you probably know what boba is. Boba is the same as black tapioca pearls. They sell these shakes, juices or cold milk tea/coffee in Asian countries like Singapore and Indonesia with boba pearls. They also call it bubble tea or boba shake.
For making this crazy Hello Kitty freak shake I needed many sweet ingredients. I used black tapioca pearls, lots of pink/white candies, decorative sugar pearls, pink icing, cotton candy, ice cream cone, ice cream and coconut milk.
Ingredients
The first thing I did was boiling these black tapioca balls with a teaspoon of sugar for 5 minutes. They weren't available at the Asian shop, so I had to order them.
I melted the pink strawberry icing that I wanted to use for the ice cream cone and the large drinking glass.
After dipping the ice cream cone I sprinkled flamingo sugar sprinkles. It looked kinda messy I know. It's my first time dipping an ice cream cone and sprinkle it with flamingo sugar sprinkles.
Then I dipped the glass, sprinkled sugar pearls on it and decorated the glass with some heart candies.
I mixed strawberry ice cream with coconut milk and poured it into the drinking glass. Later on, I added the pink and white whipped cream, ice cream cone, Hello Kitty cookie, pink strawberry cotton candy and some pink/white candies on it. I had to be fast because the first piece of cotton candy dissolved in the milkshake... Totally forgot about that! If it dissolves in your mouth it also dissolves in any liquid stuff.... It was messy because I filled the entire drinking glass with milk shake and of course the whipped cream added some weight and the milk shake dripped from the drinking glass. On top of that, the cotton candy that I added made it even worser. Luckily I still got a few good pictures, but I had to be fast.
I wanted to add many more candies on top actually, but I guess the drinking glass screamed: "Enough is enough!"
All in all I think it looked quite good for my first time making a Hello Kitty boba freak shake. Practice makes perfect they always say ;-).
I tried a little bit of the freak shake and it really tasted Kittylicious but I couldn't finish everything. The kids were jumping for joy when I told them they could finish it because I usually am quite strict to my kids when it comes to sweets.

OMG. Wanna have one. Now. 😍
