What do you think of non factory farming like Joel Salatin? I'm not opposed to anyone making the decision to be vegetarian, but I also don't see vegetarian as cruelty free. Modern agriculture practices are very destructive to the land and the species that inhabit it.
How do you feel about Aquaponics type systems where fish are raised as a protein source and vegetables are grown from the fish waste? Would you consider it a cruel practice?

I don't know him. Everything we do has an impact, but animals are being exploited. Growing crops impacts the environment, but a lot of that is done to feed animals that we use for meat. We'd need less agricultural land if we ate less meat. I'm in favour of efficiency as long as it doesn't increase cruelty.
