Famous souvenir food in Cebu, Philippines.

   

 

I personally recommend these foods when you come to visit in Cebu City.  I can guarantee that you will definitely like them. 

  

1. DRIED MANGO  

    The Philippines is the main exporter of delicious dried mangoes and also tropical fruits.  I often recommend this to my foreign friends when they come here. They always tell me that this is a good food to give their families as a souvenir.  

  Here are the malls where you can find dried mango:   

       Ayala Center Cebu 

       Address: Cardinal Rosales Ave, Cebu City, Cebu   

         SM City Cebu  

     Address: Juan Luna Ave. cor. Cabahug and Kaoshiung Streets, North Reclamation Area, Cebu Port Center, Mabolo, Cebu City.  

  2. OTAP  

  Otap is also called an oval-shaped puff pastry in the Philippines. This food consists of flour, shortening, coconut, and sugar.  It is also good food for breakfast or snack. I always eat this with coffee in the morning.

 3. CHICHARON  

  OMG! This is one of my favorite foods in Cebu. It is fried pork rinds. It tastes crunchy and yummy.  I usually eat this with vinegar. If you want to find the best chicharon in town, you have to go to Carcar. But you can easily find this food in any shops in Cebu.   

 4. BANANA CHIPS   

  Banana chips are dried slices of banana. The main ingredients are banana and sugar/honey.  These chips are healthy and yummy that as good as any snacks.   

  5. PIAYA or PIYAYA   

  It is made by unleavened dough and filled with muscovado sugar (unrefined sugar cane). Piaya is a good food for snacks.
