Rice Recipe

Saffron Pulao

Ingredient :

Rice -1 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Raisins - 1/2 cup
Saffron threads few
Ghee -2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Step 1: Turn on the flame heat the deep vessel, add the ghee add raisins fry till it turn into brown Add washed rice fry it till each grain of rice is coated with the ghee.

Step 2: Place the saffron threads into the milk, turn on the flame, heat the pan add the saffron milk, heat the milk till the saffron emits its color.

Step 3: Add water, cover with the lid and cook till rice is 3/4th done, now add the sugar, saffron milk and salt as per taste, cook till the rice is done, fluff up with the fork to separate the grains.(garnish with nut as per likes) Ready to serve.

Tomato Rice

Ingredient:

Cooked rice - 2 cups
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Capsicum julienned- 2 tbsp
Green chilli(fine chopped) - 2
Curry leaves - 3-5
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Turn on the flame, heat the pan add the oil now add the mustard seeds, cook till it stops spluttering, add green chillies, curry leaves, stir it well, add capsicum and tomato puree stir it for 2 minutes, now add rice, sugar and salt as per taste.
Mix it properly, cook for 5-6 minutes. (garnish with coriander leaves) Ready to serve hot.
