Sour Fluffy Chocolate
Belief vs Experience
Suppose you haven't tasted chocolate, I could fool you by saying "Chocolate tastes sour and its texture is fluffy". Having no experience at all on chocolate, you might believe me. But if you have tasted chocolate first hand, then your experience would tell you "Chocolate tastes sweet or bitter sweet. Its texture is hard and smooth."
In the word "Be-lie-ve" is "lie". To believe blindly can be dangerous, therefore keep an open mind. As much as possible validate with reason and experience.
