Juicy Cheeseburgers with caramelized Onions and Bacon
Hi dear Steemers!
First to introduce myself,
I am currently an apprentice as a chef in a beautiful Restaurant in Switzerland. I love making food that not only looks good, but also tastes amazing. This here is my first post but there are going to come a lot more in the future. Besides my love to cooking I also love to take beautiful pictures of food but also Landscapes. But on this Profile I am mostly going to post pictures of Food and Meals and of course, I am going to hopefully teach you how to cook them yourself. So that's all about me a like would be very appreciated and a follow would be even more amazing. Have an amazing day!
Juicy Cheeseburgers with caramelized Onions and Bacon (4 Burgers)
Ingredients:
- 4 Slices of Bacon
- 2 large Onions, cut in half and sliced (about 2 1/2 cups)
- 1 Pound/450 Gramms ground Beef
- 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere Cheese or 4 Slices Swiss Cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 Hamburger Buns (whichever you like)
How to Make It:
Step 1
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 10 minutes or until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons drippings.
Step 2
Add the onions to the skillet and cook for 15 minutes or until well browned and caramelized, stirring often. Remove the onions from the skillet, cover and keep warm.
Step 3
Season the beef as desired. Shape the beef into 4 Burgers.
Step 4
Cook the burgers in the skillet over medium-high heat for 15 minutes or until well browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove the skillet from the heat and top each burger with your cheese.
Step 5
Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top each with 1 burger, about 1/4 cup onions and 1 slice bacon, cut in half.
