Where I use to live peaches were and still are in great abundance in the peak of the season and it such a shame to see so much wonderful fruit just go to waste.

My mother in law was one who tried her best not to let that happen.

She would peel and destone the peaches and simply put them in a liquidiser with a bit of added sugar and water and then jarred the juice up in sterilised bottles.

She would then place all the bottles in a massive can of water and would boil them up to help preserve the drink throughout the summer season, not much was ever really left for the winter season as it was so scrummy
