foodporn: breakfast - acai bowl & matcha latte
today we are going to have a superfood-breakfast full of energy: a traditionally prepared matcha latte and a healthy acai bowl with lots of fresh fruits.
matcha also called fine powder tea is a traditional japanese speciality. the green tea leaves are special grown and processed so the tea contains a lot more theine and caffeine. your extra boost of energy in the morning.
the acai berries are growing on the acai palm tree. they are super healthy. they contain a lot of antioxidants, are high in calcium, fibre and full of omega-3 fatty acids. so they built up your immune system, protect cells from damages, keep your blood sugar steady, lower the risk of a heart disease and support our nerve system, muscles and bones.
You need:
matcha powder
soya milk (or any other milk)
bamboo whisk
cold water
acai
banana
passion fruit
strawberries
blueberries
granola
chia seeds
- matcha latte:
traditionally you add the matcha tea powder to a bowl or mug
add a small amount of cold water (cold is much better then warm)
start to whisk in an up-and-down direction using the bamboo whisk
foam the milk (you can use soya, coconut, cow, oat, almond whatever you prefer) and stir it with the green paste
- acai bowl
add acai berries, a tea spoon milk (I personally prefer oat milk) and half a banana to the blender
put everything in a bowl and start decorating it with berries, banana, fruits, granola and chia seeds
