Cooking With a Twist of Coconut Milk
Bicolanos are known for cooking using coconut milk or gata. And its really delicious!!! And when dinner with family on a weekend includes trying a different kind of recipe, it includes a dish that we seldom eat. Because we can get together and eat good food, I always cook dinners that we all seldom taste and here's my new recipe that we all enjoyed eating together.
Ginataang Pusit/ Squid in coconut milk
Ingredients:
6 cloves garlic, minced
3 pcs onions,sliced
1 klo fresh squid
1pc. turmeric/luya, sliced
5 pcs. green chili
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Directions:
- Sautee first the garlic, onions and turmeric/luya in oil. The turmeric/luya removes the fishy smell of the squid.

- When the garlic, onions and turmeric/luya is brownish, put the sliced squid and cook it together.

- When the squid is already half cooked, you can already pour the coconut milk and let it boil for a few minutes.

- Simmer for a few minutes then add the chili for a taste of spice. Enjoy!!!
