in #food7 years ago

Hello everyone I will begin to post delicious foods and deserts in Hong Kong and other cities in China, thank you for reading and supporting!

@ Lei Garden Michilen 🌟one star
There are several Lei Garden restaurant in Hong Kong and some are Michelin one star while some have no star. I tried a few of them and feel that the one with the best environment is the Kwun Tong shop while the worst one at Mong Kok .... If you would like to save this restaurant on your list, it is better to go for lunch since during evening more than half of the dishes and dim sum are not offered. And here are few great dishes for I recommend~~

Signature dishes--- barbecued honey pork

The first time I tried to Lei garden and booked a table through phone reservation, the representative suggested to preorder some dishes cuz they went out super fast, so I asked them to recommend some that are preordered most frequently. Thus I ordered one dish and lucky could enjoy it since they did went out of supply =v= Honey pork is a famous Cantonese meal and I have to say that this one offered by Lei Garden is A MUST TRY!!!!!! It is not too sweet nor too greasy with super super suitable texture that is just tender so right. LOVE IT!

Signature dishes--- crispy roasted pork

The Chinese name could be directly translated as "three layers of meat roasted by ice"lol
This is a dish that I've expected for a long time since three times I want to order the restaurant told that this dish is gone.... It is real that every piece of pork is consisted of three layers. The top layer is very crispy and smells so good, but the side sauce doesn't fit the pork so well for me as it tastes so weird that I can not even swallow it .... Yet if you don't dip the sauce, having several pieces of the roasted port would make it a little bit oily to eat. Overall it is still worth trying.

Signature dishes--- Rice with Deep Fried Rice in Seafood Soup
IMG_9423.JPG

This is a Must Have main dish that could serve almost 6 people each small bowl. They socked crispy rice crust in concentrated lobster bisque with a lot of lobster meat. I have to say that soaking crispy rice in the soup is so genius that it solved the flaw of the taste of crispy rice of being too greasy and combined the feature of this rice as able to absorb soup in it. Really delicious that the flavor of lobster dispersed fully!!! Please try!!!!

Braised Boneless Sparerib with Sweet and Sour Sauce (Served with Mini Buns)
FullSizeRender 4.jpg

This dish has a good looking when it was served as a nice whole square of meat with a piece of pineapple above. And the waitrer then cut it into four pieces and then the whole look collapsed..... There are more than five layers of meat literally you can count! Though the source is a little bit sweet, eat the pork with those little steamed buns makes the dish so tasty and offers a sense of fulfillment literally lol. Better to enjoy it before it gets cold cuz the sauce would get thicker and the buns less soft.

I will post other great dishes from Lei Garden and other Michelin restaurants later~ Thxthx.
