An excerpt from “LifeStyle of the SICK & HEALTHY”, Chapter Four...
“Killer Food vs Healing Food
Let us begin by saying that Plant-Based Foods are not diets, there are not a temporary fix, they are the change necessary and a very important part of a Healthy Lifestyle. Once you know, the choice is clear, you are either feeding inflammation, the root of all illnesses or starving it with anti-inflammatory foods. Soon after beginning you start to feel the difference, as you continue your mission of reducing chemicals and chemical connected illnesses from your daily life. Becoming aware of what else you are doing to “kill” yourself and making that change to a Healthier LifeStyle.
We can also add that Medical Education does not include nutritional education, so many of our doctors are uninformed and many unaware of the health risks of chemically laced foods. Most Medical Consultations do not include the benefits of Plant-Based Foods, nor illnesses to Chemical connection, of course there are exceptions, and today there are a great number of Medical Doctors that have sought nutritional information on their own and includes plant foods guidance in their practice, we just need to find them.
It is up to you to make that choice, to make the change. It might not be easy in the beginning, but as you will see and feel, it becomes easier every new week as you continue to replace addictive chemical foods with Plant Based Options. If you can't do it for you, do it for the ones you love. I have known folks that had a hard time, making many of the health changes recommended in this program, but they had no problem making the changes for a loved one, in some cases; a loving wife and/or children and in others the family pet was the motivator.
So find whatever motivates you to stay healthy, tap into it, and make the change. For those who have not care, the time to care for yourself is now! You owe it to yourself, and as previously mentioned, you owe it to the one(s) you love.
Once you become aware of the ill effects of many of our popular foods, you will begin to see in dismay how many friends feed themselves and families foods known for promoting sickness. I even began to look at whoever was in-charge of food preparation, unmindful of its consequences, as the contributor to their family’s Cardiovascular problems, Obesity, Diabetes, and the rest of the illnesses that flourish with inflammation foods, and to this we can include early death. Not easy to see, and not easy to convince family members or friends to make the health change. For some reason we rather listen to strangers, let me be that stranger for your HEALTH!
Starving illnesses or Feeding them...
We all have the right to decide what is best for us to eat, and that is respectable no matter what foods you choose, after all our knowledge and connection to the foods we eat comes, part from what we learned to eat from our parents, and a great part from the power of commercials, an even greater from, the addiction to “ingredient list” chemicals added to our foods. To this we add our own twist within the food groups we grew up with, and pass it on to our children, and continue the cycle.
Hopefully some of you will break this cycle to a Healthier Lifestyle not only for you, but for your family and preceding generations. As mentioned earlier, you soon will learn that if you have a family history of any illness, to look at your family history of feeding that illness, before “adopting” that illness, only to go on medication(s), to “control” the damage you are feeding, as you continue consuming the fuel known to feed those illnesses. Depending on medications, risking side-effects which requires more medication(s) for survival.
Remember, it does not have to be an immediate change, it does take time to get used to changing our taste and conquering our ingredient list food. I will tell you from my own experience, once you begin, around the second week, it gets easier to continue, part because the reduction in craving from the addicting chemical foods, and part because you begin to feel different; different energy, different sleep patterns, just a different state of alertness and well being, you will no longer feel bloated, simply just because you are no longer feeding inflammations.
Begin just like we did with the products we use (Vol #1), by reducing and/or eliminating “ingredient list” foods from your table. After all the “black beans” in the can are not black beans. They are black beans with an ingredient list of chemicals well known or suspected to cause cumulative health damage. The real black beans are the ones we soak overnight, like our grandmothers, and some of our mothers did. A simple rule to follow; if you can’t pronounce it don’t eat it…. Not so common, common sense.
Let's begin at the Meat of the problem…
We are going to approach foods by looking at what foods feeds what illnesses and what foods are known to starve an illness. We are also going to look at this exchange in foods as a new way of eating rather than a “diet”. When we look at meat and meat by-products, we are not only looking at growth hormones, antibiotics, preservatives, and much more, we are also looking at dead matter in the most acidic state, which happens to be the foods that inflammation and cancer thrives on and prospers. Process of Decomposition... When we commence to die our bodies quickly begins to turn acid, this is the way we naturally decompose and go back to nature. Emergency Medical Personnel are trained to inject a solution of sodium bicarbonate (alkaline) to STOP the process of decomposition (acid) in patients. When an animal is killed, it begins to rapidly turn to acid, this begins their state of decomposition. Dead animal foods are very acidic which make it, great foods to feed cancer cells, inflammations, acid reflux, joint pain and more. The more we look, the more we see that Plant Based Foods are the ones that starve many of our illnesses because of their anti-inflammatory properties, as well as live vitamins, proteins, minerals, detoxing effects and more. Once again we need to pay attention to how we feed our condition(s) and learn how to starve and prevent them. Most of us think we need dead animal meat as food for our protein not knowing of the amount of natural proteins, vitamins & minerals in plant based foods. But where do we get our Protein? Plant options for protein are many, the main one is Kale which also provides more live active proteins than the dead inactive proteins from animal meat. To do away with animal meat is to stop feeding inflammation, the root of all illnesses and Cancer, the soon to be #1 killer in this country. In addition the following plants are great substitute for animal proteins; Spinach, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Mushrooms, Parsley, Cucumber, Green Pepper, Cabbage, Tomatoes, as well as Wild Rice, Nuts, Sprouts, Avocados, Beans, and many more.
The problem with Chickens...
A recent studies at Columbia University, connected Tremors with eating chicken and meat consumption, the study informs of an added “2,000% increase in odds for this disabling brain disease”.
The Story of a Farmer Friend & His Chickens...
A few years ago, Arturo, a friend from the Redlands (South Florida) bought a farm in a little town somewhere in Georgia. He began to grow free range chickens for himself and friends, just has he did in South Miami, feeding them organic corn and other natural feedstuffs. He was surprised when neighboring farmers, who raised thousands of chickens for commercial mega companies, whose products are found on shelf in our super markets, visited him to buy his chickens for their family consumption. He asked them, ”Why do you want to buy my chickens, when you have thousands of chickens in your farm?”. The farmer neighbor answered, “Oh no, we don’t eat those chickens. We are provided with the chicks and the feed from the company, and we are hired to feed them. We know that in 4-5 weeks the chickens are fully grown and “ready” for processing. The chickens that remains, in around 5 to 6 weeks, will begin to tremble, and then fall to the ground and die”. The culprit seems to be Harmane (1-methyl-9H-pyrido[3,4-β]indole) a potent neurotoxin that has been linked with several neurological outcomes, essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. Present in the human animal diet in a number of foods, and in animal feed. Harmane is also found in red meats. To this you add arsenic, which the FDA recently admitted is found in all chickens, and you begin to see some of the reasons to reduce or not eat chicken.
What to do about Chemically laced Chicken?
With the available information I recommend if you and your family are going to eat chicken, know your farmer. Find those who raise free range chickens in your area, make sure you know what they feed their chickens before you feed your family. By-the-way the same warnings & advice goes for the eggs, since it is a product of the chicken. Yes, it is time to make friends with your local Farmers.
Making the Change
Based on observations and growing research, I recommend for anyone seeking a change for better health to begin consuming 80-90% Plant Foods, mostly fresh vegetables (live foods), with only 10-20% of food intake being vegetarian based foods, and eliminate or at least begin to reduce all consumption of processed, canned, animal foods and “chemical ingredient” list products.
Vegan Labeled Food does not mean Healthy Food
Beware of Food labeled “VEGAN” with an ingredient list of chemicals, that are definitely NOT Plant Based, these are popular processed foods consumed by some Vegans without awareness of accumulative damaged, eating synthetics, feeding their headaches, acid reflux, inflammation and more. These are the Sick Vegans. The Healthy Vegan or Plant Based consumers, know their ingredient list, because they prepare food from raw Plant Materials, eliminating or reducing synthetic chemical consumption, meaning “cooking like Grandma”, cooking for HEALTH rather than from packaged processed food. Preparing your food like this is easier, fun to prepare and cheaper than you think and very tasty, as you will discover once you begin to make this very important LifeStyle change.
On future posting we will cover “Plant-Based Kitchen Preparation” & share with you some of the plant based foods & recipes that easily replaced the foods that most of us are addicted, feeding my of our illnesses without knowledge.

Where do you get your information that there is no nutritional education at medical universities? I think it is different - And i study medicine ;)
I agree that there are way to many people uninformed.
But many patients just do not want to hear that they live unhealthy. They do not want to hear that they are sick because "they are fat, drink too much, smoke, eat unhealthy and don't do enough sports". They just want a magic pill to continue their unhealthy lifestyle.
Blaming the "bad doctors who all are corrupted by pharma industry" might be the easy way - But it will not help a lot ;)
