Dining at Tracks & Records
After a nice trip through Ocho Rios I had an urge for food. I had to be fed and fast! So I thought, let me stop by at the restaurant of the fastest man of the world, Mr. Usain Bolt.
The restaurant:
The first restaurant was opened in 2011 in Kingston. Later on another one was opened at Ocho Rios.
The name of the restaurant is Tracks & Records.
Tracks & Records is a sports bar, lounge and restaurant with a great ambience. The place is quite big. It offers multiple bar and lounge areas, dining areas, a mezzanine, VIP area. It also has a retail shop where you can buy Mr. Bolt’s brand products. There are a lot of flat screens in the place so wherever you sit, you can have a great view of your favourite sport event.
Here you wait to be seated. Look how they play with the word "record" Music records and tracking records.
The center bar
The upper level for a more fancy dining area. A logo of a piano, again playing with music versus trackfield.
The area where you can buy souvenirs.

The food.
Don’t let my intro fool you. This is not a fast-food restaurant. This is a restaurant with a vast à la carte menu of unique Jamaican combination of food. The food here is cooked with lot of love. You can order soups and salads, sandwiches, U burgers (which are very good), crockpots and Jerks platters (Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica in which meat is dry-rubbed or wet marinated with a hot spice mixture called Jamaican jerk spice). But for those who prefer there is also pizza and pasta. And of course you can order desserts.
At Tracks & Records there are great drinks too. There is nice music and the service is good.
Wah yuh say? YES, bring on the food!
I ordered a Jerk Honey Mustard Lamb Rack which was delicious. And for dessert I ordered the Heavenly Bread Pudding Surprise, which is a warm Jamaican bread pudding with vanilla ice-cream, topped with coconut rum. This dessert gives honour to his name .... heavenly! Due to my urgency to eat I didn’t have time to take some pictures, so I will provide you with picture from their website. :(
This is as good as it looks on the picture!
And after dinner I sipped my beer, waiting for the next day that was near...
