About the dinner

in #food10 days ago

Yesterday, my colleagues and I were debating what to eat for dinner. It was cold, and nobody wanted to go out to buy groceries.
So we were all thinking of eating something ready-made. If no one went to buy groceries, we'd probably have to order takeout.
We were all passing the buck, not wanting to go out. The idea was that if someone went out to buy groceries, we wouldn't have to cook. Finally, someone went!

Actually, the market isn't far from our dorm, only about 3 kilometers away. It's quite close.
If you were to ride an electric scooter, it would only take about five minutes. It's just too cold to move.
Finally, around six o'clock, I got the groceries back. Wow, a whole bunch!

They're not good at anything else. But when it comes to cooking, these guys are all incredibly skilled. Each one of them pretends to be a complete novice.
However, I have to give them credit this time; while they were out buying groceries, they had already put the rice in the pot to cook. They
tossed in the vegetables and ran off to get some hot water to warm themselves up. It's a good thing they made the trip, otherwise we would have had to order takeout.

The vegetables were washed clean in no time. When it comes to cooking, men really can't compete with women when they get serious.
Except for the two cooks who didn't help with washing the vegetables, everyone else had done all the preliminary work.
Even the ginger, garlic, and scallions were chopped and neatly arranged. Everything was done in one go, and all that was left was for the cooks to get to work.

In no time, both stoves were lit. Dishes were served one by one. Even the dishes were washed and ready.
Look at this, isn't it home-cooked? I couldn't help but give them a thumbs up. They're such good men.
Except for the poached chicken, which was store-bought, everything else was homemade. I ate until I was thoroughly satisfied.
